I am Derek Halpern, founder of Beatsroyale.com. I grew up in Long Island and Queens, NY, where I began playing classical piano at an early age. Learning music theory and playing many classical melodies was what inspired me to start creating my own music.
My first pieces of music were mostly classical compositions, however, when I learned a bit more about digital music production, a whole new world was opened to me. Discovering and mastering Logic, FL studio, & Protools took my digital knowledge to a new level, opening many doors. I began working at various studios in Queens, NY, as part of a local music production team, selling/leasing custom and pre-made beats to local rappers and singers.
During this time I also worked as a recording engineer, mixing engineer and a song writer to help around the studio. I felt that working and learning in a studio environment was ideal, however to further my developtment, I got my audio engineering degree from SAE ( School of Audio Engineering ). With a degree in hand, not only did it give me more technical expertise ( mixing, making sounds on synthesizers, microphoning techniques, sound proofing, working with analog equiptment, sound design), it gave me confidence to pursue music professionally. After S.A.E, I took on various sound projects, including sound design for commericials & audio editing for Itunes podcasts.
Now my focus is to get quality music into the hands of people who need good original tracks that they can use to further their careers. There is a wide range of music available for lease or sale. Music can be sent as mp3 files or .Wav files. Custom beats can be made upon request.
Hi everybody, My name is Will “the weirdo” Wilson. I am a co-founder of BeatsRoyale & am a Multi Platinum engineer. I grew up in Europe but I came up out of Kansas City with Tech N9ne.
For a quick summary about my self, check out this snippet from an interview I did a few years back:
“What do Tech N9ne, Jazze Pha, Bobby Valentino, Bombsquad, Rich the Factor, Angie Stone, Raekwon, David Banner, Krizz Kaliko, E-40 and Raheem DeVaughn have in common? All have worked with Will the Weirdo as a producer, mixing engineer, or in some other fashion. Maybe you’ve never heard of Will, but if you’re familiar with the work of any of these artists, you’ve damn sure heard his work. In my opinion, The Weirdo is one of the top engineers in the game. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who loves or knows more about his craft on this planet.”
